Introduction: Colsubsidio was born in 1957, promoted by the social needs of the time, when the National Association of Industrialists (ANDI) convened 24 companies in Bogotá with the purpose of establishing a family subsidy in proportion to the number of children, creating in this way the family compensation funds. Colsubsidio has a variety of departments or work teams, of which one of the most important is the health sector, to which the biomedical engineering area belongs. In each clinic and medical center there is a head of biomedical engineering, who is responsible for everything related to the biomedical technology that the headquarters has, in the same way he is in charge of the techno-surveillance associated with the equipment, as well as the acquisition of these. The information corresponding to biomedical technology is handled in a file called a schedule, where in addition to the identification data of the equipment, there is also the health record and the preventive maintenance schedule. In order to improve the traceability process of the equipment, this work is focused on the development of a digital application using the Microsoft Excel program, which allows integrating the schedules of each location, thus creating a consolidated for the entire IPS, the which will serve as a database to automate registration when new technology is acquired. Objective: The objective of this project is to develop a digital application that allows comprehensive traceability and updating of the technical-regulatory documentation, in accordance with the biomedical technology available to the IPS. Methodology: The project was divided into eight stages according to the stated objectives: research, development environment, database, interface design, categorization, registration, integration of requirements and pop-up windows. The first stage corresponds to understanding the technical and regulatory requirements for biomedical technology. From the development environment to the categorization, they focused on integrating the criteria requested by the IPS with what was investigated to establish the work path, followed by the development of the application bases. Finally, the remaining stages correspond to the execution of the technical-regulatory requirements developed. Results: According to the methodology, we have the results obtained from the development of the digital application. First, there is the equipment registration process, which consists of the application interface with the respective fields to fill out. Next, the automatic completion of the technical-regulatory requirements corresponding to the registered equipment is presented. Finally, notification of the most relevant information to the user is presented through the use of pop-up windows. Conclusion: A digital application was developed in Excel aimed at the traceability of the biomedical equipment acquired by the institution, focusing on the health record and preventive maintenance schedule. According to the results obtained, it was shown that the application is functional, however, it is important to consider its implementation in a more attractive software or program.
