Al igual que las tres primeras ediciones, en esta edición mantiene el mismo enfoque espíritu y fácil de usar con ejemplos de adición y la expansión de las operaciones lógicas y Teoría de Conjuntos. Existe también la revisión de contenido en las siguientes áreas: la introducción de topología punto-set antes de discutir la continuidad, incluyendo una discusión más a fondo de limsup y limimf, cubriendo la serie siguiente directamente secuencias, añadir la cobertura de Lebesgue integral y la construcción de los números reales, y el dibujo del estudiante atención a las posibles aplicaciones siempre que sea posible
