In this paper two alternatives are analyzed and approached to mitigate the contagion of COVID19 during in-person classes. the first alternative seeks to balance the number of courses to be taught in each of the available slots throughout the day and, the second alternative seeks to optimize the number of teachers required to teach the subjects that are listed in the syllabus 8 of this career, in each of the alternatives the occupation of teachers, the number of courses in each time slot, the use of the 21 classrooms and the occupation of the days throughout the week were analyzed. Furthermore, authors suggest some recommendations to improve the class scheduling taking into account biosafety conditions.

This article presents a mathematical model based on binary programming that solves
the collage scheduling problem in the industrial engineering career of Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio
Garavito. In this paper two alternatives are analyzed and approached to mitigate the contagion of COVID19 during in-person classes. the first alternative seeks to balance the number of courses to be taught in each of the
available slots throughout the day and, the second alternative seeks to optimize the number of teachers required to
teach the subjects that are listed in the syllabus 8 of this career, in each of the alternatives the occupation of teachers,
the number of courses in each time slot, the use of the 21 classrooms and the occupation of the days throughout the
week were analyzed. Furthermore, authors suggest some recommendations to improve the class scheduling taking
